Desain harus memenuhi unsur A-R-T :
- Asli : merupakan karya orisinil, bukan merupakan saduran, tiruan, ataupun jiplakan dari gambar atau logo tertentu.
- Representatif : bisa mewakili makna dari Visi, Misi, Maksud & Tujuan Perusahaan, Budaya Perusahaan dan Warna Identitas Perusahaan PT. KERETA API INDONESIA (PERSERO).
- Top : desain mudah dipahami (self explanatory) tanpa harus kehilangan unsur keindahannya serta mudah direproduksi.
Peserta diperbolehkan mengirim maksimal 2 (dua) desain.
Kriteria penilaian adalah orisinalitas karya, relevansi logo dengan Visi, Misi, Budaya Perusahaan, dan Warna Identitas PT. KERETA API INDONESIA (PERSERO), unsur estetika, dan pengaplikasian logo pada berbagai media.
