Photography is one of the new media forms that revolutionizes awareness and modifies the structure of our society. It is the art of obtaining accurate images of certain objects by undergoing chemical processes. Photography is the so-called skill of creating reality. According to Jean Luc Godard, photography is truth. The device used in creating or capturing the image desired is known as a camera. The creation made by photography is called negative or photograph.

The creation done by photography originally started in black and white form. This classic look has dominated for several decades due to its reasonable cost. Some photographers still use the ‘classic look’ that even with the advent of digital imaging, photos are sometimes processed using a variety of techniques just to generate a black and white effect.

Digital photography came in when new technological trends opened a new horizon for fresh artistic visions. With digital camera, one uses full spectrum photography. Photojournalism and professional photography were the first to enjoy the modern accents of digital photography. One only needs to use a little amount of time when transmitting images to the head office. While chemical photography uses film and photographic paper, digital imaging does not need any of this equipment. Digital photography only needs a controlling medium.
Traditional photography held back photographers assigned in remote areas because of the difficulty in obtaining access to processing facilities. In 1981, Sony uncovered the first consumer camera which saved images to disks and, therefore, eliminating the need for film. (more…;)

Learn Digital Photography – About Digital Photography

Digital photography has change so much over the years and you can easily see the difference even when you are not a professional photographer. It seems like just a couple of years ago when you were using film camera instead of the 10.0 megapixels digital camera today. By the way, digital photography is not limited to cameras only. Take a look at cell phones and camcorders. They are capable of taking pictures and these gadgets were never heard of a few years ago.

The widespread of digital photography over these mediums has certainly promoted the popularity of digital photography. You just aim the camera at your subject, press the shutter button, look at the picture and decide to keep or delete the picture base on your preference on the picture. It seems easy. Doesn’t it?

However, some photographers complaint that this kind of photography practice has demoted the true value of the art. They claim that photography is supposed to be an art which you have to be serious in. You ought to carefully frame the shot, decide on the angle and light and challenge your photography skills instead of simply taking the picture and deleting it when the picture doesn’t feel right. It is utterly unacceptable that you rely heavily on photo editing software to make the pictures look better. (more…;)
